Unions Want taxpayers to pay for thier corruption

Image
Teamsters VP John Murphy It's no secret Labor Unions have underfunded their pensions and used their members money as slush funds for years. What's new, is now they want taxpayers, many of whom do not have any form of pension, to cover their losses. According to Freight Waves, " Teamsters see new Congress favoring pension reform " " Central States currently pays out approximately $2.8 billion in pension benefits annually but collects only $700 million in contributions and withdrawal liability payments." But have no fear " “It’s a different world in this Congress with the Democrats now the majority party in the House,” Teamsters Union vice president John Murphy told FreightWaves." The Secret Truth is these Pensions were losing money for years. The last Democratic Administration under President Obama didn't lift a finger to help them. But the Unions dutifully continued to contribute to the Democratic Party. The ST45's opinion ...

How the Grinch plans to steal Xmas

Image
Gus Froemke The economy is the best it's been in years. Tax cuts have resulted in the highest employment in 50 years, the first actual increase in worker pay (2.9%) for over a decade and less taxes being taken from workers checks. The mines are not only open, but expanding in Northern Minnesota and so many people are now buying houses that there's not enough! But lurking around the corner is Grinch! Governor elect Tim Walz is already proposing a tax hike! Minnesota has a $2 billion surplus, but Walz and his friends are proposing a tax increase on gasoline. He promised no middle class tax hike, but that is  exactly what a higher gas tax is. It will cost more not only at the pump, but at the store. The cost of shipping will increase, and those costs will be passed on to consumers in higher prices for food, clothes and anything shipped by truck. So who are Walz's backers? Well there's the usual suspects the Teamsters , AFSCME , and SEIU . It's funny tha...

Teamsters, no Democracy here!

Image
UPS package handlers REJECTED a contract proposal, but IBT says it must be ratified anyways! Full Story Surprised? Don't be. More often then not these larger Unions are just part of a fabric of the left trying to usher in Socialism.  Recently in Minnesota Brian Aldes, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 320 joined forces with SEIU and AFSCME to protest a Supreme Court Ruling protecting First Amendment Rights of Union Members. The right to leave the Union! They believe in force, not choice. Gus Froemke, an admitted Socialist wrote the press release!  They tell you to join the Union for workers rights. United is stronger. But in reality it's toe the line or expect violence. If you don't vote right, they will jam it down your throat anyways.  There is a contingency within the Teamsters who want their voices to be heard, Teamsters for a Democratic Union (TDU). But just like Antifa now attacking anyone who voices disagreement, they end up at the end of a ...

Teamsters Local 320 backs Keith Ellison, and it costs them big!

Image
Teamsters 320 Brian Aldes on megaphone  Teamsters Local 320 has backed anti-law enforcement and women beating candidate Keith Ellison and it just cost them big. Breaking: The Metro Transit Police just decertified Teamsters Local 320 as their representative! No surprise to this writer. Instead of backing their members, Teamsters Local 320 has been busy supporting Ellison and protesting the Janus decision, which allows members to quit to avoid their money supporting the likes of Ellison, and other far left candidates. They even support communist groups like the Democratic Socialist of America. Here's the proof. On September 17th Teamsters Local 320 and the usual suspects, AFSCME and SEIU protested the Center for the American Experiment in Minneapolis because Mark Janus was speaking. When Unions think they are above the Law!

I am shocked beyond belief.  Fox News is reporting that,   "Despite the landmark Supreme Court ruling this summer barring public-sector unions from requiring nonmembers to pay so-called agency fees, workers in several states say unions are either flat-out ignoring the decision or establishing a frustrating maze of procedural roadblocks to avoid compliance." Rather then adhering to the Supreme Court decision in Janus v AFSCME that said Public Employees cannot be compelled to pay Fair Share Dues, they apparently think they can resist.  For over 200 years a Supreme Court decision was final law. But these Unions are like a cancer. You think they are under control and they just metastasize! SEIU and AFSCME (that directly lost) are now illegally making windows where people can withdraw at a future date. Some State Governments are even working with the Unions by not getting consent to take out dues. But here's the frosting on the cake, the case was because AFSCME F...

Have the Unions discovered their members?

So I'm watching the news , when suddenly I see Tim Henderson of AFSCME Council 5 supporting Stillwater Corrections Officers desire for more cameras and staff in the once again reopened industry area at Stillwater MCF! That's funny, in a pathetic way. While Stillwater prison CO's were asking for more staff before, where was AFSCME? Supporting Black Lives Matter  protesting law enforcement instead. When staff complained about the increase in inmate on staff assaults where was AFSCME? Backing the policy of letting inmates out of segregation early for "inmate mental health." For years AFSCME, SEIU and Teamsters have been more concerned with funneling money to Democratic politicians then supporting members. Suddenly the Supreme Court rules that Public Employee's don't have to pay fare share dues and the money spigot starts drying up. A good man dies on the job because the Union ignored member pleas for safe workplace conditions and even more members ...

Labor Endorses woman beating, anti-law enforcement Ellison!

Image
You would think in light of the Janus decision, which allows public employees to quit their unions, those unions would at least try to serve their members. But no, too many decades of ignoring members for politicians apparently can't be stopped. The AFLCIO just endorsed Keith Ellison for Minnesota Attorney General. Even though thousands of AFLCIO members work as Corrections Officers and Police, they chose to endorse a candidate that is anti-law enforcement and an abuser of women, which last time I checked about half of the AFLCIO are women! The good news is, as members quit their public employee unions the endorsement means less and less. Why? Because very soon there will be no money to give the candidates!

Ellison, the anti law candidate for MN Attorney General

Image
I've been watching all of the latest Antifa violence taking place in Charlotte. Hundreds of Antifa protestors reacting to about 20 white supremacist. Attacking police and even the press. There's video of NBC reporters being assaulted . What does this have to do with Keith Ellison? Well, here he is posing with the Antifa Handbook, giving them the green light for violence against police and free speech. Funny, an Attorney General should be all about Law Enforcement. Maybe Keith misread the job description. I'll say a lot of things about Keith Ellison, but I have to admit he does walk the walk. He espouses violence and practices it too. Just ask his last girlfriend and her son.

What Public Employees need to know about the Janus Ruling

Image
The United States Supreme Court has ruled in Janus v AFSCME that Public Employees cannot be forced to be members of Public Employee Unions or forced to pay 'Fair Share' dues. Because of Union support of political candidates and issues, the U.S. Supreme Court has decided it is a violation of the 1st Amendment to force members to support political speech they may not condone. This post is not an endorsement or unendorsement of Janus, just a statement of the facts of law. There has been a lot misinformation about how to leave your Union. You DO NOT have to notify your Union. All that need be done is to notify your employer, usually just payroll, that you no longer wish to have Union dues withdrawn from your paycheck. So if you chose not to pay dues any longer, you now know the simple process. If you chose to continue. Nothing need be done.
