Unions Want taxpayers to pay for thier corruption

Teamsters VP John Murphy
It's no secret Labor Unions have underfunded their pensions and used their members money as slush funds for years.

What's new, is now they want taxpayers, many of whom do not have any form of pension, to cover their losses.

According to Freight Waves,

"Teamsters see new Congress favoring pension reform"

"Central States currently pays out approximately $2.8 billion in pension benefits annually but collects only $700 million in contributions and withdrawal liability payments." But have no fear "“It’s a different world in this Congress with the Democrats now the majority party in the House,” Teamsters Union vice president John Murphy told FreightWaves." The Secret Truth is these Pensions were losing money for years. The last Democratic Administration under President Obama didn't lift a finger to help them. But the Unions dutifully continued to contribute to the Democratic Party. The ST45's opinion is this is just more lip service to the Unions to keep the money flowing. With funding levels like that, the pension was designed to fail! The Unions should be reimbursing the money, not taxpayers.
